OUR MISSION

As a charitable organization, For The Love Of Edie aims to commemorate Edie Black and help others who have been affected by or live with mental illness as well as other ailments.

Walking for edie

Edie loved to walk and knowing that she would never be able to do that ever again struct a chord. The first Walk For Edie took place, Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Lynch Park in Beverly, MA; and we have subsequently held three other walks since then. We couldn’t have done it without all of your love and continued support. Since COVID-19 we have been unable to hold our events. We thank everyone who has participated in our virtual events and hope wherever you are in the world you continue to Walk For The Love of Edie.

Our hope for the future of this organization, is to inspire as many people as possible to walk For The Love Of Edie and continue to raise awareness for our cause. Representative of positivity and overall health of the body and mind, we believe that coming together to celebrate Edie’s memory, will create a community bond for walks and other events in the future. WHAT WE want to ACHIEVE

Through community events such as the Walk For Edie, our goal is to raise awareness, provide information, and connect people. It is our hope that in the years to come, the walk and other hosted events will continue to grow in terms of participation and its impact on the community as a charitable and memorable event.

  • All proceeds from the Walk For Edie and any future donations made to For The Love Of Edie will go directly to the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation in memory of Edie Black. Proceeds will be used to support future events, raise awareness among communities and help support annual scholarship(s) in the name of Edie Black.
