For the love of Edie Scholarship

Choosing For The Love of Edie Scholarship recipient that reflects who Edie was, and what values were most important to her is a difficult choice, and a heartfelt one. 

For the love of Edie scholarship was created to honor the memory of Edie R. Black-Scherer, a highly educated woman, published writer, beloved mother, sister and friend whose life ended tragically at the young age of 45. 

This scholarship honors her memory, and students who apply should be graduating seniors, who intend to enroll full time at an accredited four-year college. 

Preference will be given to those who plan to major in Education, business or journalism, but will not be the deciding factor. Students should write an essay on how they think their education would change their lives.

$1,500 will be awarded.
